Locations

It is located in the middle of several KKKS blocks, precisely in the center of the Mahakam Delta which is adjacent to the main oil and gas oil fields in Indonesia, such as:

• Oil and gas fields in Onshore: Badak Field, Santan, Handil 2, Samberah, Senipah, Pertamina Sanga-Sanga and Pertamina Samboja.
• Oil and gas fields in swamp or swamp areas: Tambora Field, Tunu, and Saliki.
• Offshore or oil and gas fields: Attaka, Yakin, Peciko, Sisi, Nubi, Lereng fields.

KLB sea access is through Muara Pegah, entering the active route of the Mahakam river to Samarinda.

• Land access, namely:
• South direction towards Handil 2, Mutiara, Senipah, and Balikpapan connected by Dondang bridge
• North towards Samarinda, Muara Badak, Bontang, and Sangatta connected to the Mahakam bridge.
• Westward towards Tenggarong City, Muara Kaman, and Kutai Barat.

Penajam and Tg. Batu Area, in addition to being more remote, is more expensive and there is a double handling. Administration of clearance in two outages in the KSOP (backboard & vague). Tg. Batu / Eastkal is not effective – efficient for supporting exploration – Operation – repair – maintenance for swamp & onshore areas around the Mahakam Delta.

To achieve optimization in Offshore – Swamp – Onshore operations the “sharing facility” needs to be done, with the LWS 8 MTR draft, the RKS location is the most appropriate and integrated.

Location of RKS before the lane Gas pipelines are underwater and not in densely populated areas like other ports in the Mahakam delta area.
